Some words about Bookmarks

Nowadays it's easy to get tangled in your browser bookmarks.
But bookmark site is the easiest way to collect and store all your webpages in one place. I would like to show the site that I've chosen https://webstartpage.ru/

What does it look like?

Nice to meet you there!

Hello! Today I'm going to tell you about my experiece of using one mobile app to improve my english skills. And that is Duolingo. You can install in AppStore or PlayMarket for free, athough for some functions you'll need to pay extra. As for me, I think that even basic functions are enough to achieve good results.

What can you find in this app?

  • All exercised include some game elements.
  • The app stimulases you to learn regularly (it has a system than gives you special apportunuties if you practise regularly)
  • Game elements inclide your "lives". And you'll lose one life if you give an incorrect answer.
  • You'll see the results as soon as you end your task.If it's incorrect you will be provided with the useful material to solve the problem.
  • There are a lot of tasks on listening, reading, writing and speaking. Due to this you can improve all kind of skills.
  • The app now is used in schools as a ineractive platform for students.
  • The app has its chat rooms divoted to a specific language.
  • The vocabulary was given in a sort of pyramid, where each module includes words on a concrete theme.

My Results

I used the app to revise my spanish. One year ago I attended spanish courses. And after them I realised than I need some practise just not to forget the words. So I installed Duolingo. Frankly saying, it was difficult for the first time to train regularly, but I managed to do it and the results were great!

Some useful sites

I tried to get acquainted with some sites designed to help you in improving your english skills: listening, speaking, pronunciation, writing, reading, grammar and vocabulary.
And I'm going to name there sites I really liked.

The design of this site was really friendly and it was easy to find any information you need. The Rosetta Stone's program helps to prepare to use your language in a real world. There are various languages to chose, not only english. You can participate in reallife conversations, read stories along with native speakers and take break from the screen by listening to the lessons. I wish it were my first time learning english, so that I would chose that app to start with.

  • Tell Me More program.
I found this program quite interesting, because the course comprises of different tasks, starting from speaking and ending with the tests. It's up to you to decide what skills you want to improve today. The program is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch languaes.

This site gives you opportunities not to just read stories but to make some tasks based on them. And it will give your some explanations whether the answer is right or wrong.

To begin with, this site is free to use. You shouldn't pay for the materials provided.  It's divided for the options for students and teachers. There are great amount of texts to read and listen, also you can learn words using wordslerning games. Finally, there is a Text Helper which can save words from any webpage in the Internet, so that you can learn them later.

The site provides you with the courses in grammar, reading, writing. There are also courses to get prepares for some international exams, such as IELTS, Cambridge Exams, PTE Academic, TOEFL and TOEIC.

You don't need to have written vocabularies, because they are now available online. At this website you can not only translate the word but also to make sure if you pronounce it correctly and how it's pronounced by a native speaker.

I hope I was useful! Happy Learning!
